Castle meal times are as follows.... Breakfast 8-30am to 10am, Lunch 12noon to 2pm, Dinner/Evening Meal 6pm to 9pm

A Historical Tour

Travel over the Heads of the South Wales Valleys, where Welsh and Norman interests collided over the centuries. See the communities for what they were and are – close and friendly. Cross the wide expanse of the Brecon Beacons, which stretch as far as the eye can see.

Visit Caerphilly Castle, Aberfan and journey on to Caerphilly, returning through the Rhondda to Hirwaun, across the Brecon Beacons to Defynog.

You will see evidence in the landscape of the Industrial Revolution in South Wales, Norman History, the Civil War and Welsh Heritage. In the evening, return to Craig y Nos Castle, nestling at the foot of the mountains – tranquillity in a modern world.
