09-03-08.. from Bridgend My husband and I went to the hotel for their Valentine's weekend and we were thrilled to see they had made so much effort. There were roses and chocolates in the room, the room was one of their superior rooms and it was beautiful and so clean and comfortable, I couldn't get hubbie out of bed in the morning! The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I can't say enough about the place. The grounds are so peaceful it is as if you are in another place and time. We had such a fab time we went back for the Mother's day meal and we are planning a trip back for the ghost tour.

My fiancé and I stayed here to check it out for a wedding venue, and we were so impressed that we booked it the next week for the wedding. The rooms are 5star quality and seem brand new. We loved having the dogs around and it was great to hear about the ghost tour from some participants. We were very impressed with the high quality at great prices, plus it's a CASTLE! And it still looks like a castle! I would highly recommend this for anyone.

We had the most brilliant stay. We attended a family Wedding in the Theatre, which was amazing. From the moment we arrived and were taken to our room, to leaving after breakfast the following day, I can honestly say that this was one of the very best hotels we've stayed in. My husband and I would not hesitate to visit again. The food was fabulous and our room very comfortable, scenery amazing and the staff were absolutely great. Well worth a visit anytime.
26-12-07.. from Bristol Our daughter chose Craig-y-Nos for her wedding venue and we spent a night there to get to know it and meet the people who would be helping us organise the occasion.  The room was delightfully unusual, stylish and very comfortable and the bathroom was really luxurious.  Our bar meal in the evening was delicious and reasonably priced, and felt more like a meal served in a restaurant.  All the staff we met couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.  We are looking forward to the wedding there next year, but also intend to go back when we can simply for a weekend of relaxation.
12-12-07..  from Bristol I found the hospitality of the staff faultless. Food was great and the accommodation was of a good standard.  The castle takes full advantage of its pretty much unique location and the views from almost any aspect are spectacular.  Had a great night with a few beers around the log fire in the bar, after taking advantage of the new gym facilities which I think are a superb addition to the building.  Will definitely come back in the future.

16-10-07..Mr & Mrs Lloyd from Carmarthen When we arrived at Craig-y-Nos we were welcomed by the reception staff, who booked us in and took us over to our room which was more like an apartment than a hotel room, it had a lounge downstairs and large bedroom upstairs.  The staff in the dining room were also friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.  If you like country walks you will love Craig-y-Nos.  We enjoyed our stay so much we are bringing our family here for my husbands 65th birthday.  This is a place for single couples and families, not forgetting your family dog.

Mrs E W  18.4.08 Me and my husband got married at Craig y nos castle in August 2007, and it was such a perfect day. The beautiful scenes of the Brecon mountain made our wedding photographs magical, not to mention the pond, peacocks and swans to add to the occasion.  The food was amazing and very well presented, and this was commented upon greatly by my guests.  During the night the castle is lit up and is spectacular, an amazing sight after such an amazing day.  I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a fairy tale wedding, it surely made ours a day we will never forget.

My daughter and son in law got married and held their reception at the castle in late February. The castle had been booked for almost two years and a great deal of planning went into the event. We had three advisors in that time and towards the wedding we dealt with Allison and Claire, both very professional people. Claire looked after us on the day, and as a very nervous father of the bride, she looked after me better than my own mother. The day went without a hitch (apart from the weather) and Claire was with us every step of the way. The ceremony and celebration went perfectly, the food was first class. We did have one panic when the bride and groom lost their marriage certificate, but the team were there to help and all was resolved. Many thanks to a truly professional team, I would recommend this Castle to anyone planning a wedding.
27-11-07.. from Merthyr Tydfil Our son got married in September 2007 down in Dan-yr-Ogof caves and the reception was held in Craig-y-Nos castle.  The setting was so tranquil and peaceful but our highest praise is for the way we were treated by all the staff, everyone was so friendly and helpful during our stay.  They took a lot of pressure and worry off our shoulders which made the day most enjoyable.  The function room was beautifully arranged and atmospheric, and what can we say about the buffet??  FANTASTIC!!!  The bedrooms were again of the same high standard with a hearty breakfast to follow.  We look forwad to a future visit.

29 May 2007... Debi I got married at Craig Y Nos in March and it was fantastic-they allowed me to choose the wedding meals which a lot of places dont, we settled for a three choice menu which included cray fish and smoked salmon, local venison, salt marsh lamb, and homemade lemon tart-all the food was of the highest standard and not one guest had a single complaint. Ignore the reviews saying it is not a good place-sure its a little shabby in places but after all is is a castle and if you want spik and span then go to a modern hotel but you certainly wouldnt get the same tranquility and romance of this place, nor the personal touch that the staff give you.

17th Oct 2006, Cardiff We had our wedding at Craig-y-Nos Castle and we couldn't have chosen a better venue! The staff work extremely hard and were always friendly and happy to help, the food was superb and good value for money and although some of the accommodation is a little rough around the edges, what do you expect from an old building which is still being restored to its former glory!

Compared to the majority of wedding venues we looked at, the wedding packages and accommodation prices are very reasonable and they are flexible in meeting your requirements. All of our guests are still raving about what a special place it was and set in such beautiful surroundings....and where else can you get married in a Grade One listed Opera House!!

I stayed at Craig-y-Nos as I was attending a course on hypnotherapy and the facilities were excellent. The room was very clean and had interesting antique furniture that added to the charm of the whole hotel. Everything is being done to restore the castle to its former glory and the furniture is antique and fits well into this setting. The food is good although more vegetarian selections would be nice but, having said that, the food provided is of a very high standard both quality and quantity and cannot be faulted. The staff are incredibly helpful and could not do more to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I shall look forward to my next visit.

26-9-04... Andy & Alison Newman Haven't had a break from the kids for ages. Have had a great time. Going home absolutely knackered after going to bed at 3am after "The Ghost Tour". Seen things I can't explain. Bright streaks of light in children's ward as the floor pulsated. Also during a séance in the 'Boudoir' -felt I was growing taller (honest to god !!). It was something to talk about for years.
