We stayed here early
last year and were very impressed. This year on our return the first
impressions were not only equalled but excelled. The room was
excellent and the standard of service equal to that. We have two
Great Danes and they were loved by all who met them. Our dogs
do cause us problems in trying to find a welcome, but this hotel
surpasses anything we have experienced before.
If you are a dog owner/lover you must give Craig-y-nos top priority
on your list of places to stay. You won't be disappointed. The staff
do everything they can to make you welcome and the food is of
excellent standard. Be prepared to put on weight !

We
were looking for a hotel that would accept our pet dog and Craig-Nos
Castle proved the perfect place. We were made to feel at home as
soon as we walked through the door. We were shown to our room and
everybody made a fuss of the dog. The room was very clean
and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and television.
There was plenty of room for us and the dog. The hotel grounds
were a perfect area to exercise the dog and it abuts a Country
Park which is additional walking space leading to some very long
walks. As it is located in a very picturesque part of South Wales
it is handy for visits to the countryside or the beach. We will be
going again for a few days next month, March, with a family
friend. All together a very pleasurable stay and would recommend
this hotel to anybody who wants to stay in the South Wales area.

We
stayed in the Gatehouse the week before Christmas and enjoyed every
minute. We have stayed several times before and although there is
building work going on it has never been a problem and they are only
too willing to show you round and explain what is going on. It is
lovely to go to a hotel that doesn't have a problem with dogs. We
enjoyed the walks in the Country Park and in the surrounding area. |

"The
perfect antidote to stress" I booked this hotel at the last
minute for a short break at half-term. The experience started
the moment I spoke to the receptionist on the telephone and I was
left in no doubt that nothing would be too much trouble. My
husband and I have two dogs that we never leave behind when we go on
holiday. It was so nice to find a hotel where we could take
the dogs and the bonus was that they could come in the bar with us
when we ate in the evening. The food was delicious and the
service impeccable. The castle grounds are beautiful in
themselves, just great for walking the dogs and there are loads more
lovely walks to do from the castle (and nearby) through fabulous
countryside, details of which we downloaded from the excellent hotel
website. Being keen on wildlife I was delighted to spot
dippers on the rivers which run through the castle grounds. It
is handy for visiting attractions such as Brecon Mountain Railway
and the Red Kite feeding station. |

We
chose Craig-y-Nos because we could bring our dog with us. We
enjoyed the relaxed and informal atmosphere. We really enjoyed
the grounds and the surrounding area and so did our dog! |

So
lovely to be able to bring our dog with us and to be made to
welcome. We saw quite a lot of the park because the weather was so
good and our dog thought it was fantastic. |

We had
a wonderful time at Craig-y-Nos. Loved the castle, loved the country
park, the list goes on. It was great to be able to bring our dog, he
loved it too! We'll be back and I have already spread the word
to friends who have children and dogs. |

We were
pleased that we could bring our dog into the bar area, a lot of
places are not dog friendly. It was a very relaxing place and we
plan to visit again. The dog loved the gardens and has sulked since
coming home! |

We
married at the Castle in 2004. Our stay in 2007 was particularly
pleasurable because you welcomed our dogs at the Castle. |

We
intend to return next year - kids, dogs & adults all had a
fabulous time. Have already recommended it to several doggy friends.
Doggie heaven! |
