The Farmhouse Walk    Slide 2 of 11
(it will take approx. 1 hour to walk from the Castle to the Farmhouse)

Cross the lake at the top end, over the board walk, and follow path through the wood, and over the small bridge to the wood ‘stepping stones’

Take right stepping stones path, following stepping stones until it comes out at the main path then walk along, keeping river on your left

You will see stepping stones on your left, crossing the river (unsafe in wet conditions) and a wooden footbridge going over the river. Ignore both and instead take the path to your right, leaving the river behind you. Continue up the steep track to the gate. Go through the gate and turn right along the woodland bridal path. Continue along the woodland path for about a mile until you reach a narrow lane with a farmhouse and a modern cottage.
